Read the sample IELTS speaking part 2 answer on the topic of a writer you would like to meet.
Describe a writer you would like to meet.
You should say:
- who the writer is
- what you know about this writer already
- what you would like to find out about him/her
- and explain why you would like to meet this writer.
One writer I would love to meet is J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series. I have always admired her storytelling skills and creativity. Her books transport readers into a magical world filled with adventure, friendship, and important life lessons.
I already know that she faced many struggles before becoming famous. She was a single mother living in poverty, trying to make ends meet while writing her first book in cafés. She was rejected by multiple publishers but never gave up. Her journey from a struggling writer to one of the most successful authors in the world is truly inspiring.
If I had the chance to meet her, I would ask about her writing process and how she created such a detailed magical world. I would also love to know what inspired her characters and if she plans to write more fantasy books in the future.
The reason I want to meet J.K. Rowling is that her books have made a huge impact on my life. They have encouraged me to read more and think creatively. She also taught me a great lesson of how not to give up and keep struggling in life. Talking to her would open my eyes to the world of writing and inspire me even more. Meeting her would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I would never forget.
