- and explain how you felt about learning to prepare this food or drink
One food I learned to prepare is homemade pizza. I learned how to make it about two years ago, during the COVID lockdown, when everyone was trying new things at home. I had always loved pizza, but I used to order it from restaurants. One day, I thought it would be fun to try making it myself, so I watched a few YouTube tutorials and decided to give it a go.
At first, it was a bit tricky because I didn’t know how to make the dough properly — it either turned out too hard or too sticky. But after a few tries, I got the hang of it. I learned how to knead the dough, prepare the tomato sauce, and add the right amount of cheese and toppings. I usually make it in my kitchen on weekends, especially when my cousins come over. They actually say my pizza tastes better than the ones from local pizza shops, which makes me quite proud.
I felt really happy after learning to prepare it because cooking something from scratch gives a sense of satisfaction. It also made me realize that homemade food is not only cheaper but also healthier. Now, every time I bake a pizza, it reminds me of how I used that lockdown time to learn something new and useful.
