Do you agree or disagree?
A lot of people say that job satisfaction is more important than a high salary. I agree with this statement because having a solid income gives you a comfortable life and secures your future.
The biggest reason a high salary matters because it enables us to live a comfortable life. If you are in a job, you enjoy but don’t earn enough, you always face financial struggle and stress. With a good income, you can cover essential needs like housing, health care, and food, and enjoy things like travel or hobbies. For instance, someone who has a good-paying job might be able to take care of their family’s needs without worrying about of end-of-month budget.
Secondly, when people are paid well, they can save the money to use it in the future after retirement. It is common that we cannot work throughout our lives, so we must have some money saved for the days when we get older. This is only possible if you are working for an employer who pays you well. For example, one of my family members stopped working at the age of 50, because he had saved enough money from his high-paying job, and now he can use this money as long as he is alive.
However, for some people, job satisfaction is also important, as it is impossible to work in a field in which you have no interest. Consequently, a person can lose their job as he is unable to show good results. But for me, this is not that important.
In conclusion, I think a high salary should definitely take priority on job satisfaction. With a good income you have financially freedom and enjoy a good life.
