To what extent do you agree or disagree?
In today’s world, science should primarily be used to improve people’s lives. I agree that science-based knowledge must be applied to develop new technologies that reduce human workload and enhance health outcomes across the population.
One key benefit of applying science is reducing the workload in large technology companies, where employees often perform mentally demanding tasks. This burden can be eased through the use of newly developed applications. For instance, organizations such as Khan Academy and Coursera serve millions of learners by offering free quality education. These companies have recently integrated advanced, science-driven tools to help employees manage and maintain these online platforms, which otherwise require significant time and effort to run smoothly.
Moreover, scientific advancements have greatly improved public health indicators, especially through the use of data-driven approaches. Major pharmaceutical companies and hospitals now rely on large-scale data analysis to develop treatments and vaccines. A notable example is the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019, when global health authorities recommended the use of big data and scientific research to create vaccines. These efforts were successful in reducing infection rates and saving lives worldwide.
Although advanced science has the potential to transform human life, its application should not be limited to this area alone. Science can also be used to improve food production, enhance the nutritional value of crops, and ensure better health for animals—all of which indirectly support human well-being.
In conclusion, science plays a vital role in reducing workload through technological innovations and in improving global health through modern medical solutions. Therefore, I believe that science should primarily be used to improve the quality of human life across the world.
