1. What did you study in history lessons when you were at school?
Well, when I was at school, we mainly studied the history of our country, like the independence movement and important political leaders. We also covered world history, such as the world wars and ancient civilizations. Actually, I remember enjoying the lessons about ancient Egypt the most because the culture seemed fascinating.
2. Did you enjoy studying history at school?
Yes, I did enjoy it, although not all the time. On the one hand, I found it interesting to learn how past events shaped the present. On the other hand, I sometimes got bored with memorizing dates and names, which felt a bit repetitive. Nevertheless, overall, I appreciated history more than other subjects.
3. How often do you watch TV programmes about history now?
To be honest, I don’t watch them very often. These days, I mostly spend time on streaming platforms, and I usually choose movies or documentaries about science rather than history. However, once in a while, if there’s a programme about ancient cultures or famous battles, I might watch it because it helps me understand things in a visual way.
4. What period in history would you like to learn more about?
I would really like to learn more about the medieval period in Europe, especially about knights and castles. The reason is that this period feels quite mysterious, and I think it influenced literature, art, and even modern films. Besides, learning about that time could give me a better sense of how societies were structured in the past.
