Read the sample IELTS speaking part 3 answer on the topic of why do some people find the internet addictive. By reading this sample answer, you can get some ideas about different questions that will help you in the actual exam.

1. Why do some people find the internet addictive?

The internet offers endless entertainment, instant information, and constant social interaction. People often find themselves glued to the screen, especially with apps and platforms designed to keep them scrolling. The fear of missing out, or FOMO, also pushes people to stay online longer than necessary.

2. What would the world be like without the internet?

Life would be drastically different. Communication would be slower, and many businesses would struggle to operate. On the flip side, people might spend more quality time with each other and live in the moment instead of constantly checking their devices.

3. Do you think that the way people use the internet may change in the future?

Yes, definitely. As technology advances, we may rely more on voice-activated tools or even virtual reality. The internet might become more personalized and immersive, but we’ll also need to draw the line between convenience and over-dependence.

4. How has the internet changed the way people learn new things?

The internet has made learning much easier and more accessible. People can watch videos, join online courses, or read articles anytime. It has leveled the playing field, so even those in remote areas can gain knowledge without going to school.
