I consider myself to be very knowledgeable and think that I do not need to search for information of any kind. However, a few days ago, when I was heading there to reach my destination, I found myself in kind of a very difficult situation. It was actually that I did not know which direction I should go because there were two roads going in totally opposite directions. To get information about which route would lead to my destination, firstly, I asked a local person, but he was speaking a language that was very difficult for me to understand. So, I decided to use Google Maps online.
I basically searched for the road that goes towards Loch Ness, which is a very famous lake in Scotland. The lake is surrounded by huge trees that turn yellow in summer, and when their shadow falls on the water of the lake, it makes a very beautiful scene. Furthermore, the lake is very famous among local and foreign tourists.
After searching on Google Maps, I found out that the road that leads to the Lake has been closed for some construction work, and there is another road that goes in the totally opposite direction, so I drove for about 50 miles in the wrong direction. After realizing this, I turned my car towards the main road so I could take the road which head towards the lake.
Taking the information from Google Maps was very helpful, much better than asking that local person. I cannot say that he gave wrong information; it was just that he was using that Scottish accent while speaking English, which I could not understand at all. Finally, I was able to reach the Lake after a long and stressful driving experience, but the views of the lake made me forget about all of that.
