1. What did you study in history lessons when you were at school?
There were different topics that we discussed related to history at school. Firstly, most of our history classes were about the political and social life of people living in the sub-continent. Then, a few of the classes covered European and Middle Eastern life.
2. Did you enjoy studying history at school?
I always enjoyed those history lessons. I believe that history teaches the most important lessons of history. Personal and societal progress is only possible if we learn useful things from the past and avoid making the mistakes that previous people made. Therefore, to increase my knowledge and make better decisions in life, I took a serious interest in history classes at school.
3. How often do you watch TV programmes about history now?
Honestly, even though I enjoy the topic of history, I do not watch historical documentaries. I find them to be very boring, and they often do not show you the truth about certain facts due to bias. That’s why I prefer reading history books rather than watching TV shows or documentaries.
4. What period in history would you like to learn more about?
One period of history I would like to know more about is the Renaissance period, during which Europe saw the most progress in arts, poetry, culture, and trade. This period shows us how humans can make extraordinary progress without relying on formal education and build splendid art using purely their imagination.
