Band Score: 7 Bands

1. How popular are bicycles in your hometown? [Why?]

Bicycles are fairly popular in my hometown because kids love to use cycles to ride around the town, at you know, mostly in the evening and sometimes at night. They are also used as a traveling source for going to short distances, you know, going from one place to another to your neighbours, so they are very popular in my hometown.

2. How often do you ride a bicycle? [Why/Why not?]

When I was a child, I used to ride daily, sometimes, you know, in the morning and evening of the same day. But as I grow older, I don’t really have time to ride a bicycle, or in my area, the roads are not well built, so they are not smooth for riding, so I don’t ride bicycles anymore.

3. Do you think that bicycles are suitable for all ages? [Why/Why not?]

Yes, I think they are quite suitable and can be learnt easily by people of all ages minaly because they don’t require fuel or they don’t have enginge, so you know they are easy to work around. And most people are able to learn about bikes in a day ot two, so it doesn’t take long to learn about them. Therefore, I think they are easy to manage and work with.

4. What are the advantages of a bicycle compared to a car? [Why?]

I would say that the main advantage would be fuel, as bicycles don’t really need any type of fuel. Additionally, another advantage would be that you know the process of learning about motor vehicles vs the process of learning about bicycles is quite contrasting. It is really, really easy to learn bicycle compared to a car. Also, another thing I want to add is that using a bicycle is like an exercise; it’s a substitute for keeping your body healthy.

Band Score Analysis (7.0):

  • The ideas are well developed
  • There are no fluency issues
  • The student has added some linking words, but there is a lot of repetition of conjunctions like: so, and.
  • The answer could be improved further by adding idioms, giving short sentences, and using linkers to connect them.
