Band 6.5 Response:
I remember when I when I drove my car first time and this was very exciting, This was new thing for me, as I did not do it before, so I enjoyed very much. When I drove my car for the first time, it was a good experience
I did four years ago first time and my father assisted me in driving a car and it was very interesting driving a car for the first time. It was new for me as I usually sit in the front seat as my father usually drive the car.
I remember that at the start, I did not even know how to shift gears smoothly. Sometimes, gear shifting was so bad that the car engine would stop running and I have to restart the car. Moreover, controlling the steering wheel was also very difficult, especially around sharp corners it got even harder for me as a new driver.
Though I learned driving the car in four months, I would say that it could have taken even more time if my father had not helped me in this. He made the whole learning process so easy for me, and today I can confidently say that I am a good driver who knows how to drive a car safely.
Band Score Analysis (6.5):
- Ideas are fully explained.
- Some idioms and phrasal verbs are correctly used.

Band 5.5 Response:
First of all, because I am, I love, because of my career, I used to do different exercises or activities throughout my life, today I like to share this activity that was very excitement and amazing and I really enjoy it.
It was when I was a student in the university, and it was new ehh, it was eh it was swimming activity. Because in my country or ehhh in my neighbourhood. We did not have swimming pool, its barely to do this kind of activity.
And then ehhh when I joined the ahhh the physical education college, we had a swimming pool and who wanted to practice this activity. It was, it has, it had ahhh, it had access to do it.
Then I love swimming I stopped doing it acitivity, it was a bit challenge. I had a friend who was talented person, ehhh, he taught me how to swim correctly and I enjoyed a lot, it was very excitement.
Band Score Analysis (5.5):
- The student has not fully covered all the bullets of the cue card, as there is very little explanation of the last question of the cue card, “and explain how this activity was new or exciting”.
- There is some use of linking words, but rare.
- The student has used some vocabulary words, “excitement, exciting, amazing” too many times, which is repetitive.
- There are a lot of fluency sounds “ehh, ahh, umm” throughout the response, which significantly reduces his score.
- There are many grammatical errors, including: subject-verb agreement issues, wrong choice of word, and missing articles.
- It is recommended that to increase his scores, he should avoid those fluency issues, vary her language and grammatical structures.
