A friend of yours is thinking of going on a camping holiday for the first time this summer. He/She has asked for your advice. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter explain
- why you think your friend would enjoy a camping holiday
- describe some possible disadvantages
- say whether you would like to go camping with your friend this summer
Dear Alex,
I hope you’re doing well. I was thrilled to hear that you’re considering a camping holiday this summer! I believe you’ll absolutely love it, as it’s a fantastic way to connect with nature, escape daily stress, and enjoy exciting outdoor activities like hiking and stargazing. Plus, waking up to the sound of birds and fresh air is a feeling like no other.
That said, there are a few things to keep in mind. Camping can sometimes be challenging, especially if the weather turns bad. You’ll also need to be prepared for insects, limited facilities, and cooking meals over a campfire, which might take some getting used to. However, with proper preparation, these small inconveniences can turn into great adventures! Besides, roughing it for a few days will make us appreciate home comforts even more.
I’d love to join you on this trip! It would be an amazing experience, and I could help with setting up tents, planning meals, and making the whole journey even more fun. Let’s plan everything together soon—I promise we’ll have a blast!
Looking forward to your reply.
Best regards,
Mate
