Read the sample IELTS speaking part 1 answer on the topic of How many hours do you usually sleep at night? By reading this sample answer, you can get some ideas about different questions that will help you in the actual exam.
1. How many hours do you usually sleep at night?
Normally, I sleep for 8 hours every day, as it is recommended by health experts to live longer. However, if I have done a lot of work in the morning, then I sleep only for 6 hours. This makes me physically tired and increases stress as well.
2. Do you sometimes sleep during the day?
Sleeping during the morning is very important for me. A short nap of 1 hour at noon is very helpful for me. After having lunch at my work, I come back to my room and take a quick nap to be prepared for the next tasks at the office.
3. What do you do if you can’t get to sleep at night?
Though this happens rarely, if it does happen, I would start reading a book if I cannot sleep at night. Book reading is a proven activity that helps people to sleep immediately and use the time effectively. Moreover, sometimes, I do light exercise at night if I cannot sleep.
4. Do you ever remember the dreams you’ve had while you were asleep?
Mostly never. I do not know the reason for it. But I think that I never considered the dreams to be important in any way. Therefore, when I wake up the next day, I never think about them. On the other hand, people who think dreams have some important role in our life, they would have a very clear picture of their dreams when they wake up in the morning.
