Last week, when I was at my grandmother’s house, I met my cousin. He is a businessman and runs an e-commerce shop online. He started this business about 5 years ago, and he has clients now from all over the world.
While we are enjoying a cup of tea together, I initiated the conversation about savings. I believe that there is no point in saving your money for the future. Because the cost of each and everything is increasing day by day due to different reasons. So even if you save a hundred thousand dollars today, it won’t have the same value after some years.
He had a different opinion about savings. He told me that we should keep the savings in cash, instead we should it either buy gold or invest in some business. This way the amount of money of you have will never loose it’s value. Moreover, he explained his journey about how he started his business with his savings that he had in the form of gold.
I kind of liked his explanation about savings. Therefore, I decided that I will buy some gold with the cash I have, so I can invest it in the future in some business. I found this discussion to be interesting because even though I was opposing his ideas at the start, somehow, he convinced me that saving money is not a bad idea.
