Describe a book that you enjoyed reading because you had to think a lot.

  • what this book was
  • why you decided to read it
  • what reading this book make you think of
  • and explain why you enjoyed reading this book

One book that really made me think deeply was “1984” by George Orwell. I read it about a year ago when a friend strongly recommended it to me. At first, I wasn’t sure if I’d enjoy a dystopian novel, but I ended up being completely absorbed by it.

The reason I decided to read it was because I had heard that it deals with important political and philosophical issues like surveillance, censorship, and freedom of thought—topics that are very relevant even in today’s world. I wanted to challenge my mind and expand my perspective, and this book definitely did that.

While reading it, I kept thinking about how governments can sometimes control people’s lives in subtle ways, and how easily truth can be manipulated. The idea of “Big Brother” watching everything really made me reflect on how much privacy we actually have in the digital age. It made me compare Orwell’s imagined world with modern-day societies.

I enjoyed reading this book because it wasn’t just entertaining—it stimulated my mind. The language was powerful, and it left a lasting impression on me. It made me question things I had never thought about before, and I believe that’s the sign of a truly great book.
