The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The graphs illustrate data about public library in a small town called Little Chalfont

Overall, most of library members were adults who aged between 18 and 64, and the highest loan rates have been recorded by adult and children’s fiction, whereas the total number of loans have grown since 2010.

Regarding the ages of library members in 2016, Adults aged between 18 and 64 made up the largest proportion, accounting for 51%. Followed by children at around 22%. Young adults stood at 15% and those who aged 65 and over were around 12% only.

As for loans categories, children and adult’s fiction had the highest figure with precisely equal proportion at 38% of the all loans. In contrast, adult’s nonfiction represented 13 % while children’s nonfiction were only 6%.

The total number of loans were below 20,000 in 2007, 2008 and 2009. It then rose to above 20,000 in the following three years then fell again in 2013. Between 2014 and 2016 the figure recovered and remaind above 20,000 loans.
