A lot of new laws have been introduced in my country. Recently, almost I think about six months ago, there was a law that was uhh initiated by the government here in Australia related to car seatbelts.
Because before six months, only the driver who was wearing the seatbelt only, other than the passengers are not recommended, there was no law that every passenger should wear the seatbelt. After this uhh law, everyone including the driver needs to wear the seatbelt.
There are traffic cameras I think on every suburb, there are cameras to check if people are wearing the seatbelt properly or just showing it. So they will detect and show sign on it if you are not wearing the seatbelt properly.
They introduced it because a few months ago there was an accident uhhh the on the highway uuh because passengers are not wearing seatbelt.
I think this law is very great to improve road safety. It can save people, it can prevent people from unseen incidents or mishaps. SoI think government initiated this process and it was a quite good idea to save people lives.
So in case someones is not wearing the seatbelt, the camera detects and the drivers will need to pay the fine as well. So this law reduced the number of accidents a lot.
